One thing the French have down to an art is making the most of the humble radish.

Radish with butter and salt is a simple yet tasty treat that hits the spot. It's all about the zingy, peppery radish paired with creamy butter and a sprinkle of salt for that perfect bite.

To make it, you can simply smear some of your favourite good quality butter on a slice of radish, sprinkle with salt, and you're good to go.

Or, for a social snack, serve it up on a platter with some fresh bread, like we've suggested below! Your guests will appreciate this twist on the cheese board usuals.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Radish - you can use the leaves too
  • Butter, at a spreadable temperature
  • Rock salt

METHOD:

  1. Wash the radishes and leaves, dry them off, and set aside.
  2. Chop the radishes into halves or quarters, depending on their size.
  3. Slice up a baguette (the fresher the yummier!)
  4. Arrange the cut radish, bread slices, butter, salt, and radish leaves on a board.
  5. Slather some butter on a bread slice, top it with radish, including the leaves, and a pinch of salt.
  6. Dig in and enjoy! Bon Appétit!
